The 30,000 Foot View of Your Health

I recently flew to Austin to visit a few aunties and cousins, and for the first time in years, I sat in the window seat.

Do you know how long it’s been since I had a window seat?  Years. I haven’t had one since having kids.

(And let’s be honest—when you’re a tall woman who needs to stretch her achy back and take bathroom breaks after chugging water at the airport, the aisle is usually the only sane choice.)

But before kids? I loved the window seat.

Watching the ground rush past during takeoff. Seeing the world shrink below as we climbed. Gazing out at the 30,000-foot view with awe—the roads, rivers, cities, neighborhoods all suddenly fitting into one cohesive picture. Flying over New York especially brought it home: you could see how the boroughs, bridges, and endless movement all connected. It gave everything context.

On this particular flight, as we headed southwest, I looked out over green farmland, gentle hills, and a stretch of bright blue sky. From that height, even the freeways—usually bustling—looked almost empty, the cars just dots.

And it hit me: this view is a perfect metaphor for how I approach health.

As your Integrative Medicine doctor, my job is to take that same wide-angle, high-altitude view.

Yes, I pay attention to the small details—your lab results, your CT scan, your migraine pattern that predictably shows up three days before your period. But those specifics only make sense when you zoom out.

You deserve someone who sees the whole you.

Someone who understands you’re a night owl who craves caffeine and sugar during your luteal phase.
Who crushes workouts on weekends but struggles to stay active during the workweek.
Who avoids magnesium-rich foods like leafy greens.
Who spends nine hours a day staring at a screen because your boss is a tyrant.
Who has neck and back pain from poor posture.
Who started a new birth control to fix your periods and prevent headaches—but now just feels off and hormonal all the time.

This is what we do. We gather all the little pieces of your story and put them together into a bigger picture.  We connect the dots between your hormones, your habits, your stress, your sleep, your pain, your nutrition, your movement—and what you want for your body and your life.

In this case? That means helping with menstrual migraines and myofascial tightness.
It means magnesium support, screen breaks to reset your eyes, a breathwork practice to regulate your stress response, and a wind-down ritual to help you catch that natural cortisol dip before bed.  Maybe even a functional medicine hormone test to decode your natural cycle off medication.

Sound familiar?

We’re here to help. To help you feel like yourself again.

Come see what it feels like to have someone take the 30,000-foot view—of you.
