Heather Dickinson is a psychotherapist who specializes in working with couples and families. Heather has extensive experience working with clients who are dealing with a variety of stressors including relationship and family problems, life transitions, and emotional concerns like depression and anxiety. In her practice, Heather welcomes individuals, couples and families who are in need of support. She uses a collaborative and relational approach and draws on a range of therapeutic techniques including mindfulness and the Gottman Method, amongst others. Heather is passionate about helping people to improve the quality of their lives and their relationships.
Heather earned her Master of Social Work degree from Columbia University and her undergraduate degree from Georgetown University. Heather did a four year postgraduate training in couples and family therapy at the Ackerman Institute for the Family and has completed the Level 1 Training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy.
